HomyZone is a home services platform in Ahmedabad. 28 categories and 879 individually priced jobs on this site — because the difference between booking "a plumber" and booking "flush tank repair" is the difference between a wasted visit and a fixed cistern.
One job, not one trade

The problem
The problem we started with
Booking home services usually means describing your problem to someone who then sends whoever is free. You get a plumber; you needed someone who works on concealed flush tanks. He looks at it, says he will come back, and does not. You have lost an afternoon and you are exactly where you started.
The professional lost that afternoon too. He was sent a job he was never going to take, and nobody asked him first.
The mechanism
Per-service dispatch
So HomyZone does not match on trades. The catalogue runs from category to sub-group down to the individual job, and every leaf is priced on its own. Customers book that leaf. Professionals tick the leaves they take, and only those requests reach them.
It is one mechanism solving both sides of the same problem, which is why it sits at the centre of the product rather than somewhere in a settings screen. Everything else — the fixed prices, the two PINs, the arrival window, the per-category commission — is built on top of it.

Specific beats general
A trade is a category, not a job. Someone who fits air conditioners is not automatically someone who does gas refills. Building the catalogue down to the individual job is more work than listing trades, and it is the reason the right person turns up.
Prices belong in the open
Every job carries a published starting price, visible on this website without an account or a download. Anything else asks you to commit before you know what you are committing to.
Promises should cost us something
A 90-minute arrival window that carries no consequence is marketing. Ours means a no-show counts against the professional, and you can cancel free or be matched with someone else in one tap. We would rather make fewer promises and keep them.
Both sides need protecting
No-show protection runs in both directions, ratings go both ways, and every job is priced by the platform so neither side negotiates at the door. A platform that protects only customers is one professionals leave.

HomyZone is the app for customers — browse, book the exact job, track the professional, hold both PINs. HomyZone Partner is the app for the professionals doing the work — choose a plan once, tick the jobs you do, and take the work that fits your day. Both are Android apps.
