- How much does a service cost?
- Every job in the HomyZone catalogue has one fixed platform price — all 879 of them — set by HomyZone, not by the professional, and shown on this website before you download anything. That is the price for the listed job; anything outside its scope is agreed separately. Prices can be revised in the admin, so the figure in the app when you book is the one that applies. There is no charge for browsing, and a request that finds nobody costs you nothing.
- When do I pay?
- You choose when you book. Cash on service means you pay the professional after the work, once you have shared the completion PIN. Pay online means paying by UPI up front: the search for a professional starts once the payment succeeds, and the money is held against the booking — refunded in full if nobody accepts. Paying online is also the only way to earn cashback coins.
- What happens if nobody accepts my request?
- HomyZone runs the search again before giving up. If no professional accepts, the booking ends as 'no professional found' and you are told. A cash booking has cost you nothing; an online payment is refunded in full to the payment method, and any coins you used go back to your wallet. The app also offers to rebook the same job into a later slot in one tap.
- Can I cancel, and what does it cost?
- Yes. What it costs depends on how far the job had got. Before a professional accepts, cancelling is free. There is a grace window straight after acceptance where it is still free, because a wrong tap should not cost money. Once the professional is on the way a share is retained, once they have arrived more is retained, and once work has started nothing is refunded. If no professional was found, or the professional cancels or fails to arrive, you are made whole in full. On an online booking the refund goes back to your payment method; on a cash booking the charge is recorded as dues, and new bookings pause once dues build up until they are cleared online. The exact shares are written into the customer terms and quoted in the app before you confirm.
- What are the two PINs for?
- They put you in control of both ends of the job. The professional cannot mark work as started until you give them your start PIN, which confirms the right person reached the right address. The job cannot be closed until you have checked the work and shared the completion PIN. If someone turns up claiming to be from HomyZone and cannot complete the start step in their app, they are not your professional.
- Who can see my phone number?
- The professional sees your number only once they are most of the way to your address — not when they accept, and never while your request is still circulating — and for a short time after the job. You never see the professional's number: you see their name, photo, rating, jobs done and experience, and you watch them approach on the map. This is a rule about when a number is shared rather than a claim that every call is routed through a masking layer.
- What is cashback and how does it work?
- Paying online earns cashback coins, credited to your HomyZone wallet when the job completes. Cash bookings earn no coins. Coins pay for part of a future online booking — there is a cap on how much of a booking coins can cover and on how much of your balance one booking can use — and a booking paid partly with coins earns no new coins. Coins expire if they go unused. The rate, caps and expiry are set in the HomyZone admin and written into the customer terms, and the app shows the current values when you earn and spend them.
- What does the price include?
- The visit and the work. Some repair and check-up jobs are marked "labour only" — on this website and in the app. For those, the price covers the professional's visit, finding the fault and fixing it, but not spare parts: if a part is needed, the professional tells you which one, you buy it, and they fit it as part of the same booking at no extra charge. HomyZone does not supply, price or warrant spare parts.
- Why can't I pay online late at night?
- A booking for right now made between 8 PM and 8 AM is cash on service only. A booking for a later slot can still be paid online, whatever time you make it.
- What is the scratch card?
- Rate your professional soon after a completed job and you win a scratch card worth a few coins. The amount is drawn at random and is the same whatever rating you give — it rewards rating, not a good rating. It works on cash and online bookings alike, and the coins follow the usual coin rules.
- Do you collect my bike or car?
- No. You bring the vehicle to the professional, and the booking names it by registration number. Delivery back to your address is optional and shown on your bill before you book — ₹99 for a bike, ₹199 for a car — with no charge if you collect it yourself.
- Which phones do the apps run on?
- HomyZone and HomyZone Partner are Android apps. That is the only platform we build for today, and we would rather say so plainly than leave you looking for a version that does not exist.
- What does it cost a professional to join?
- HomyZone Partner plans start from ₹99. A plan is a one-time payment — it never expires, there is no monthly fee and there is nothing to renew. Plans differ only in how many categories you can take work from. Commission on completed jobs is a percentage set per category, and every offer shows that job's commission and what you keep before you accept; it is deducted from online-paid jobs and recorded as a balance owed on cash jobs. Plan prices and commission rates are set in the admin and may be revised.
- How does a professional choose what work they get sent?
- Inside their chosen categories, a professional ticks the individual jobs they are willing to do. Only those requests reach them. Someone who fits ACs but does not do gas refills leaves gas refills unticked and never sees one. This is the core of how HomyZone matches — on the specific job, not on the trade.
- How soon can work start?
- Book for now, or schedule a slot up to 7 days ahead — the search for a professional starts shortly before a scheduled slot. Once a professional accepts, they have 90 minutes to arrive, counted from when the job is due to start — the moment they accept, or your booked slot if that is later. If they do not, it is a no-show against them, and you can cancel free or ask to be matched with someone else in one tap, at no extra cost. An arrival promise with no consequence attached would not be worth making.
- Which cities does HomyZone operate in?
- Ahmedabad, Gujarat. That is the only city right now — one city, done properly. We are not operating anywhere else yet, and when that changes it will be stated plainly on this site rather than implied.
- Where are the terms and conditions?
- There are two sets, one for customers and one for professionals, and both are published on this site at homyzone.in/terms. They are the same terms the apps show under Profile, with every figure — cancellation shares, cashback rate, plan prices — filled in from the live settings.
