What actually happens between opening the app and closing the job.

Find the exact job
The catalogue goes from category to sub-group down to the individual job: not 'plumber' but 'flush tank repair'. Every leaf carries one fixed platform price, set by HomyZone rather than the professional, so you know the figure before you commit to anything. You can browse the whole catalogue on this website too — this is the same list the app shows.
Request
Send the request
You confirm the job, the address and the time — now, or a slot up to a week ahead — and choose how to pay. Cash is paid to the professional once the work is done. Paying online (UPI) happens up front, and the money is held against the booking: if nobody accepts, it is refunded in full. Online is also the only way to earn cashback coins.
Searching
We look for a match
The request is offered to professionals nearby who have ticked that exact job — not everyone in the trade. Someone who fits ACs but does not do gas refills never sees a gas refill request. The first to accept gets it. If nobody accepts, HomyZone runs the search again before giving up; if it still finds nobody, the booking ends as 'no professional found' — a cash booking has cost you nothing, an online payment is refunded in full, and you can rebook the same job into a later slot in one tap.

A professional accepts
When a professional accepts, you see who they are: name, photo, rating, jobs done, experience and languages. Your 4-digit start PIN appears at the same time. There is a short grace period to cancel free if you have changed your mind; after that, cancelling costs a share of the booking, and the app quotes the exact amount before you confirm.

Track them to your door
You watch them approach on the map rather than guessing. A professional has 90 minutes to arrive, counted from when the job is due to start — the moment they accept, or your booked slot if that is later; if they do not, it counts as a no-show against them, and you can cancel free or ask to be matched with another professional in one tap. The professional sees your phone number only once they are most of the way to you — not before.
Start PIN
Work starts when you say so
The professional cannot mark the job as started until you give them the start PIN from your app. This confirms the right person reached the right address, and it means the job clock cannot begin without you. If someone turns up claiming to be from HomyZone and cannot complete this step, they are not your professional.
Completion PIN
You close the job
When the work is done you inspect it. Only when you are satisfied do you share the completion PIN, which closes the job. If you are paying cash, that is when it changes hands. On an online-paid booking, cashback coins are credited to your wallet after completion and can be spent on a future online booking. Rate the professional soon after and you win a scratch card worth a few coins, whatever rating you give; and you have 7 days to raise a dispute.
What if nobody accepts?
Sometimes no professional is free for the job you want at the time you want it. When that happens HomyZone does not simply fail the request and leave you guessing — it runs the search again before giving up.
If the request still finds nobody, it closes as “no professional found” and you are told. A cash booking has cost you nothing. If you paid online, the payment comes back in full to the method you paid with, and any coins you used return to your wallet. The app then offers to rebook the same job into a later slot in one tap.
The worst outcome on HomyZone is that you spent a few minutes and got nothing. It is never that you spent money and got nothing.

Plans differ only in how many categories you may take work from. There is no monthly fee, no renewal date and no expiry. You pay once and the plan stays active.

Choose the work you actually do
Inside your categories you tick the specific jobs you are willing to do. This is the part that decides what reaches you: if you fit ACs but do not do gas refills, you leave gas refills unticked and never get sent one. Nobody has to filter your job feed for you, because it was never wrong in the first place.

Pay once, securely online
The one-time plan payment is made securely online (UPI) and activates your plan straight away; there is no separate approval queue to wait in. There is nothing to renew later and no subscription running quietly in the background.
Set up
Add your details and service areas
You add your name, years of experience, languages and a photo, and set the points you work from; several are allowed, and offers reach you for jobs within reach of any of them. Bike and car categories need a garage card on file before they can be selected. Your payout account and a 6-digit payout passkey are set up in the app before your first withdrawal.

Start receiving offers
Offers for your ticked jobs near your service areas ring on your phone with the job, the area, the time and the amount; the first professional to accept gets it. Declining is free and there is no target to hit — the only commitment is the jobs you accept, and those you are expected to turn up to.
The mechanism
Why per-job matching matters to both sides
Most platforms match on the trade. You ask for “an electrician”, and an electrician turns up — possibly one who has never wired an inverter and would rather not start today. Everyone has wasted a visit.
HomyZone matches on the job. The customer picks inverter installation, and the request goes only to professionals who have ticked inverter installation. The customer gets someone who does this work; the professional never gets sent jobs they would have declined. The same mechanism solves both problems, which is why it sits at the centre of the product rather than at the edge.
