What actually happens between opening the app and closing the job.

Find the exact job
The catalogue goes from category to sub-group down to the individual job: not 'AC repair' but 'AC gas refill & check-up'. Every job carries a price set by HomyZone rather than the professional, shown before you book. You can browse the whole catalogue on this website too — this is the same list the app shows. The trades are the one exception: an electrician, plumber or carpenter is booked as a ₹29 consultant visit, and the work is quoted when they come.
Request
Send the request
You confirm the job, the address and the time — now, or a slot up to 7 days ahead — and choose how to pay. Cash is paid to the professional once the work is done. Paying online (UPI) happens up front, and the money is held against the booking: if nobody accepts, it is refunded in full. Online is also the only way to earn cashback coins. Every new customer has ₹100 off a booking of ₹300 or more waiting, applied automatically, and the bill shows the total before you confirm — the figure quoted is the figure charged.

We look for a match
The request is offered to professionals nearby who have ticked that exact job — not everyone in the trade. Someone who fits ACs but does not do gas refills never sees a gas refill request. The first to accept gets it. If you have made a professional your pro in that category, they are asked first, alone, for 2 minutes, and you can tap Ask everyone now. If nobody accepts, HomyZone runs the search again before giving up; if it still finds nobody, the booking ends as 'no professional found' — a cash booking has cost you nothing, an online payment is refunded in full, and you can rebook the same job into a later slot in one tap.
Accepted
A professional accepts
When a professional accepts, you see who they are: name, photo, rating, experience, languages and an "Aadhaar verified" badge — every professional verifies their Aadhaar before their first job. You also see the time they promise to reach you by, a chat with them on the booking, and your 4-digit start PIN. There are 2 minutes to cancel free if you have changed your mind; after that, cancelling costs a share of the booking, and the app quotes the exact amount before you confirm.
En route
Know when they'll arrive
While they travel you see how far away they are by road and when they will arrive, with a short list of what to keep ready for that job. The arrival time is a promise: if they are more than 15 minutes late, HomyZone adds 30 coins to your wallet, and if they have still not arrived 30 minutes after it, you can cancel free. A professional who does not turn up at all is recorded as a no-show against them, and you can get another professional or cancel, both at no cost. Once they have covered half the trip, a call button appears on the booking for both of you — not before.
Start PIN
Work starts when you say so
The professional cannot mark the job as started until you give them the start PIN from your app. This confirms the right person reached the right address, and it means the job clock cannot begin without you. If the professional finds extra work, they propose it in the app with its price and you approve or decline it; nothing joins your bill that you have not seen. If someone turns up claiming to be from HomyZone and cannot complete the start step, they are not your professional.
Completion PIN
You close the job
When the work is done you inspect it. Only when you are satisfied do you share the completion PIN, which closes the job. If you are paying cash, that is when it changes hands. On an online-paid booking, cashback coins are credited to your wallet after completion and can be spent on a future online booking. Rate the professional within an hour and you win a scratch card worth 1 to 10 coins, whatever rating you give. You can make them your pro so they are asked first next time, and you have 7 days to raise a dispute.
What if nobody accepts?
Sometimes no professional is free for the job you want at the time you want it. When that happens HomyZone does not simply fail the request and leave you guessing — it runs the search again before giving up.
If the request still finds nobody, it closes as “no professional found” and you are told. A cash booking has cost you nothing. If you paid online, the payment comes back in full to the method you paid with, and any coins you used return to your wallet. The app then offers to rebook the same job into a later slot in one tap.
The worst outcome on HomyZone is that you spent a few minutes and got nothing. It is never that you spent money and got nothing.
Two kinds of booking
Trades and vehicles work a little differently
Electrician, plumber, carpenter and the other trades
Carpenter, Electrician, Fan Installation, Furniture Assembly, Home Painting and Plumber are not priced from a phone, because the job is rarely clear until someone has seen it. You book a consultant for ₹29 — HomyZone’s charge for booking the expert, paid online at any hour — and the search runs exactly as for any job. Once one accepts, you both see each other’s number and the visit address. They call you, visit and quote the work, and you agree it and its price with them directly; it is not billed through the app and carries no commission. There are no PINs. When they have been, either of you marks the visit done, and you are asked to rate them. The ₹29 is refunded in full if nobody is assigned or they do not arrive.
Bike and car servicing
Servicing is a garage visit. The nearest garage that does the job is asked first — 2 km out, then 4 km, then 10 km — and once one accepts, the app shows its name, rating and address, and you bring the vehicle in within an hour. A breakdown — not starting, a puncture, a flat battery — is still fixed where the vehicle stands. Your start PIN is given at the hand-over and your completion PIN at the hand-back. When the vehicle is ready the garage may offer to drop it home for ₹99 for a bike or ₹199 for a car, paid in cash when it arrives; you can accept or decline, and collecting it yourself costs nothing.

For professionals
For professionals: from download to first job
HomyZone Partner is the app for the people doing the work. Plans start from ₹99 and are paid once; every partner verifies their Aadhaar before their first job.
Plan
Choose a plan
Plans differ only in how many categories you may take work from, and are a one-time payment with no renewal date and no expiry. The trades — Carpenter, Electrician, Fan Installation, Furniture Assembly, Home Painting and Plumber — sit outside the plans: each is its own membership of ₹99 for 30 days, renewable from 10 days before it ends, and the work you agree on a trade visit is yours in full with no commission. You can hold a plan and memberships together.

Choose the work you actually do
Inside your categories you tick the specific jobs you are willing to do. This is the part that decides what reaches you: if you fit ACs but do not do gas refills, you leave gas refills unticked and never get sent one. Nobody has to filter your job feed for you, because it was never wrong in the first place.
Pay
Pay securely online
The plan payment is made securely online (UPI) and activates your plan straight away; there is no separate approval queue to wait in. A plan is never renewed; a trade membership is renewed only when you pay for another 30 days. Bike and car categories need a garage card on file before they can be selected.
Set up
Add your details and service areas
You add your name, years of experience, languages and a photo, and your work address, which becomes the centre that offers are measured from; you can add more service areas. A garage pins its location once, and garage visits are measured from that pin. Your payout account and a 6-digit payout passkey are set up in the app before your first withdrawal.
Verify
Verify your Aadhaar once
Scan the large UIDAI-signed QR code on your Aadhaar, or a screenshot of your free e-Aadhaar, and take a selfie. When the name matches your profile you are verified at once; anything else goes to a person. If you cannot scan at all, send a photo of the card's front with the first 8 digits covered for us to check. We keep only your name, photo and the last 4 digits — never the full number — and a card photo is deleted once it has been checked. Only verified partners are offered jobs.
Work
Start receiving offers
Offers for your ticked jobs near your service areas ring on your phone — even when the app is closed — with the job, the street, the amount, the commission and what you keep, and the time you would promise to arrive by. The first professional to accept gets it. Turn-by-turn directions to the customer run on HomyZone's own map, with no hand-off to another app. Declining is free and there is no target to hit — the only commitment is the jobs you accept, and those you are expected to turn up to.
The mechanism
Why per-job matching matters to both sides
Most platforms match on the trade. You ask for “an appliance mechanic”, and one turns up — possibly one who has never opened a front-load washing machine and would rather not start today. Everyone has wasted a visit.
HomyZone matches on the job. The customer picks front-load machine — draining issue, and the request goes only to professionals who have ticked that exact job. The customer gets someone who does this work; the professional never gets sent jobs they would have declined. The same mechanism solves both problems, which is why it sits at the centre of the product rather than at the edge.
